It is the perfect base for walking holidays, mountain biking, horse riding and bird watching and there are many places to visit such as the Elan Valley, sometimes called the Welsh Lake District, not too far away.

For less strenuous activity there are castles, museums, gardens, an RSPB bird reserve, show caves, narrow gauge railways, a gold mine and many other places of interest.

It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful areas of Wales with pine forests, native woodlands, wooded valleys and open moorland. Wildlife and flora are abundant, roads are quiet and the air is pure.

Nearby Llanwrtyd Wells is a well known centre for walking and mountain biking. Long distance walking, hill walking, rambling, strenuous or gentle, MTB trails, the choice is yours.
